I purchased one of these to get my thermo-nuclear RX580 out of my case, and mounted externally to let it breathe fresh air, and not melt my PC into a pool of molten plastic and metal. I was cautioned by CL staff that it was PCIe gen 3 cable, and that i may have to manually set my bios to Gen3, but my UD570 rev 1.1 detected the change, and did it automatically. This was a 10 second plug and play exercise, and I am no longer getting thermal throttling and heat related artifacting. Great quality riser cable for the price. Highly recommended
